This policy explains what personal information we collect through www.bcphin.com, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the rights available to you. It covers visitors who browse the site and people who sign up for the network or contact us.

We collect sign up information, including name, email, and profession; contact form details; submitted research, events, or resources; and automatically collected technical data such as IP address, browser type, device, and usage data through Google Analytics and cookies. We do not intentionally collect personal health information through this website.
4. Why We Collect It
We collect information to operate the network and manage membership, respond to inquiries, review and where appropriate publish submitted resources, understand and improve how the site is used, and send updates or newsletters if applicable with consent and an unsubscribe option.
5. Consent
We collect and use personal information with your consent, which you provide when you sign up, submit content, or contact us. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits.
6. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We share information only with service providers who host or operate the site on our behalf, such as Google, and who are bound by confidentiality and data protection terms, or with authorities where required by law. Data is stored in Canada.

We protect information with safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity, consistent with Canadian law including PIPEDA. Information is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS and encrypted at rest. Access is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis through authentication and role-based access controls. We keep information only as long as necessary or required by law.
